I have been exploring existential concepts through abstract watermedia paintings over recent time.  The images are intuitively created and express ideas and feelings about the human condition including continuums of life and death; our sense of relatedness, love and connection as well as isolation and aloneness in the world; and an expression of our intellectual, spiritual and emotional aspects of self.

Fragments Of Blue is part of my “Blue Series”.  I lost my sister this past year and this painting captures a continuum of complex feelings including the sadness of loss; the remembrance of joy; and the continuity of love and connection

Winter Memories

Palette Painting by Janis Goldblatt donated to Alzheimers Association Art Auction 2016.
My palette painting and the paired paintings (previous post) sold at the MIM auction and earned bundles of money for the Alzheimers Association in Denver!  So pleased to be able to donate to such a meaningful cause.

"Poudre Inspiration" and "The Mystical Poudre"

 I was delighted to learn that my two of my watercolor painitngs  sold at Paint The Poudre 2015 exhibition.  The show raised money for "Save the Poudre foundation!

Paint The Poudre....  These paintings were painted en plein air at Watson Lake.  I am honored to have been invited to participate in this important event again this year!

Aspens This donated watercolor palette painting will be available in the silent auction for the Alzheimer's fund raising event , Memories In The Making.

Two of my poppy paintings will be paired with an Alzheimer's patient's painting of "Poppy Fields" for the gala fund raising event on June 6 at the Hilton Fort Collins, CO.

Abstract Play

After over a week of being a serious, responsible adult, taking care of family business, I had to explore a bit of playfulness through my paintings. In the next few days,  I will post the one I did last night, but thought this image also captured a bit of that child-like delight within.
