Pieces Of The Puzzle

Abstract painting by Janis Goldblatt in progress.....After painting landscapes all summer long, I had to go back to working on abstract pieces.  I find that the "mix" of representational and non-representational or abstract keeps it all so very interesting and fresh.    Also, changing my materials maintains a sense of exploration, excitement and seems to enrich the experience!

Path Along The Poudre and View Of The Cliffs

Both paintings were painted en plein air during Paint The Poudre event in Fort Collins, CO.  The show was overwhelmingly well received and I will look forward to participating again next summer!
