Floral in Blue Vase

Miniature watercolor Floral on Yupo by Janis Goldblatt measuring 4x4.  Yupo is a synthetic surface upon which the watercolor paint sits rather than absorbing into the "paper".  The water evaporates, leaving pigment.  The painting is then treated with an archival varnish spray to preserve the colors.

Poppy Miniature

Original watercolor floral by Janis Goldblatt, measures 2.5x3.5.  These miniatures often called ATC's or ACEO's are fun to do and make wonderful gifts or original unique cards suitable for framing.  I have done hundreds of them over the years.  Art collectors seem to treasure the small intimate nature of "miniatures".  I'll post some more over time, and hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoy creating them!
